Homemade Shower Tile Spray
With Ingredients You Have at Home
Sometimes a nice, warm shower can be therapeutic. When you walk into the bathroom and smell the unpleasant odors of mildew, then look inside the shower to see mold, it’s less than relaxing. You can find plenty of cleaning solutions at the store to help you keep your shower clean, but you actually have all the ingredients you need at home. Learn how to make your own homemade shower tile spray — no chemicals needed!
Homemade Shower Tile Spray
Many DIY cleaning solutions feature a combination of baking soda and vinegar, so you won’t be surprised to learn your shower tile cleaning solution features it as well. Here’s the recipe:
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 3/4 cup baking soda
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup dishwashing liquid
- 1/4 cup salt
- Essential oils (optional, but encouraged for a fresh, clean scent)
Step 1: Combine these ingredients in a spray bottle.
Step 2: Shake the solution, then spray it into the shower or tub. Give it a few minutes to work, then sponge clean or use a scrubber for tougher jobs. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
You can also use this as a daily spray after your shower—no scrubbing needed! This will help lessen the work next time your shower needs a scrub-down.
